Meet Dr. Babineaux
Dr. Jennifer Babineaux graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She completed an internal medicine residency at East Bay Veterinary Specialists in 2009, where she focused on ultrasound and cardiology. Following her residency, she worked for 4 years at the San Francisco SPCA providing internal medicine, ultrasound and cardiology services at the combined shelter and public hospital. During this time Dr. Babineaux developed an interest in feline medicine, and became one of 90 boarded feline specialists in the world. Dr. Babineaux joined the internal medicine team of VCA San Francisco Veterinary Specialists in 2013, and moved to Philadelphia in 2014, where she started her mobile ultrasound practice.
Dr. Babineaux moved to Ashland Oregon in 2019.
Dr. Babineaux has received hundreds of hours of ultrasound and echocardiogram training and has worked extensively with boarded internists, surgeons, oncologists and other specialists. She has also trained other doctors to perform ultrasounds. In 2019, Dr. Babineaux presented a 4 hour lecture series on feline ultrasound at the ABVP Symposium.
Dr. Babineaux appreciates the importance of ultrasound in the practice of veterinary medicine. By bringing the power of advanced ultrasound skills into general practice, she helps veterinarians provide clients with a diagnosis for challenging medical cases.
Mobile ultrasound minimizes the travel requirements for ill pets, and allows clients to work with a veterinarian they already trust.
Dr. Babineaux lives with her husband, her Bearded Collie (her 5th "Beardie"), and two cats in Ashland Oregon. She is currently the full time Program and Veterinary Director at Dogs for Better Lives, and is available for ultrasounds to existing clients on the weekends.
