Meet Dr. Babineaux

Dr. Jennifer Babineaux graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005.  She completed an internal medicine residency at VCA East Bay Veterinary Specialists in 2009, where she focused on  ultrasound and cardiology. Following her residency, she worked for 4 years at the San Francisco SPCA providing internal medicine, ultrasound and cardiology services at the combined shelter and public hospital.  During this time Dr. Babineaux developed an interest in feline medicine and became a boarded feline specialist.  Dr. Babineaux joined the internal medicine team of VCA San Francisco Veterinary Specialists in 2013, and moved to Philadelphia in 2014, where she started her mobile ultrasound practice.  Dr. Babineaux moved to Ashland Oregon in 2019.

Dr. Babineaux has received hundreds of hours of ultrasound and echocardiogram training and has worked extensively with boarded  internists, surgeons, oncologists and other specialists.  In 2019, Dr. Babineaux presented a 4 hour lecture series on feline ultrasound at the ABVP Symposium, and continues to lecture on feline ultrasound in partnership with Royal Canin via webinar.

Dr. Babineaux advocates for the routine use of ultrasound to diagnose challenging internal medicine cases in general practice.  Mobile ultrasound minimizes the travel requirements for ill pets, and allows clients to work with a veterinarian they already  trust.

Dr. Babineaux lives with her husband, her Bearded Collie (her 5th "Beardie"), and two cats in Ashland Oregon.
